BRIEF PROFILE

Mr Ebenezer Kwofie is a Medical Laboratory Scientist and has over 20 years of experience in Medical Laboratory jobs. Currently, I am the Laboratory Manager and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Focal person as well as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) coordinator (Acting) at Dunkwa Municipal Hospital. I am the Chairman of the IPC team and a member of the Quality Control and Quality Improvement team at Dunkwa Municipal Hospital. I am also part of the data validation committee in the facility.

Currently, I am the local elected representative of the Medical Laboratory Professional Workers’ Union (MELPWU) and Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (GMLS) in Upper Denkyira East Municipality.

I was part of the Upper Denkyira East Covid-19 Task Force and my hard work led to the 2023 National Presidential Award on Covid-19 Frontline workers. I am also part of Upper Denkyira East Municipal Public Health Emergency Management Committee.

I am a young, energetic, result-oriented and self-disciplined person who can work with minimum supervision. I have a personal drive for an excellent, positive attitude towards work initiative, an excellent interpersonal skill, strong analytical, research and mathematical skills. I am an assertive, affable and enjoy challenges, as well as a fast learner and a team player.

Currently, I am a student of the University of Development Studies (UDS), Accra Campus offering a Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science and hope to complete in the year 2024.
